Nikiya
This is Nikiya & her mom - she's 12 & has autism. Nikiya, her mom, and 3 younger siblings are currently at the Trini Mendenhall shelter. Nikiya organized some of the snacks in the "grocery store" today. She has a hard time with change and she likes things to be neat. She let me help her for a while and gave me permission to come back to hang out with her tomorrow, as long as I bring her some rice crispy treats.
